Yesterday, I set up my gazebo and other bits and pieses to see a basic layout of my first stall for upcoming event next month. Very plain, but looked fine, needs some decoration to look nicer. Making home-made Onigiri (Rice Ball) like shops
We call Onigiri 'rice ball' in English, but it's actually triangle shape not round ball shape. We put various filling in onigiris, we use plain steamed rice whilst sushi rice is favoured with vinegar and sugar. I've got 100 'Onigiri Nori(dry seaweed) wrapping sheets' to make home-made onigiris look like the ones at Japanese shops (photo above). Made cookies...
I had a surgery on my knee last Tuesday, couldn't move much and was getting so bored. I decided to make some sweets which I might sell at "The Local Creatives Pop Up Stall " Quarry Park in Meadow Springs, Sat 7th April @ 2pm, which is my first stall... I better be well prepared. (I didn't have an accident, I just had ligament reconstraction surgery to my right knee damaged while skiing and tennis) Got (almost) everything ready on the bench Cut cut cut... a bit slow process.
